Thank you so much for helping with a small beta test 🙏
You don’t need to complete every step—even 1–2 minutes and a few first impressions are already incredibly helpful.
Here are the 4 things I care about most:
- What do you think this app is for? Would it be valuable to you (or someone you know)?
- In your first 10 minutes, what was the first moment you thought “oh, this is interesting / useful”? (e.g., Fly-to / Photo Map / Flowers)
- What feels like the biggest weakness right now, and what feature do you most want to see next?
- From 0–10: how likely are you to recommend it to a friend? Why?
If you’re short on time 👉 just answer these 4 questions and you’re done (thank you!).
If you’d like a more guided experience, here’s an optional step-by-step checklist (do as much as you want).
(Optional) Step-by-step guide This app has three core experiences (they “show value” at different speeds):
- Instant value (fastest): Map tab — Fly-to / Photo Map / PhotoWall
- Long-term value (needs time, most important): Timeline tab — auto timeline
- Bonus value (instant or tied to timeline): Showcase tab — Flower check-ins
Your feedback like “I’m confused / I don’t know where to tap / this feels uncomfortable” is extremely valuable.
If something looks wrong, a screenshot or screen recording helps a lot.
Also: it’s totally okay if you don’t want to enable certain permissions—telling me why is already great feedback.
A. Within 10 minutes (recommended — quick way to feel the instant value)
0) (Optional) Quick context
If you don’t mind, please include:
- Device model (e.g., iPhone 13 / 15 Pro)
- iOS version (e.g., iOS 18.x / iOS 26.x)
- Language (中文 / English)
1) Install & first launch
- Can you install and open the app smoothly? Any lag, long loading, blank screen, or crash?
- On first launch, do you roughly understand what to do next?
- Are permission prompts clear and shown at a reasonable time? Do you understand why they’re needed?
2) Map tab (Map): Instant value (Fly-to / Photo Map / PhotoWall)
Note: The Map experience usually works immediately once you allow Photos + Active Energy (Health), because it uses data already on your phone.
2.1 Permissions (just choose what you’re comfortable with)
- Photos permission: did you choose All Photos / Selected Photos / Don’t Allow?
- If you chose “Selected” or “Don’t Allow”, does the app clearly explain what you can still do next / how to continue?
- Health permission: can you successfully allow Active Energy / Calories burned (or similar wording)?
2.2 Photo Map / photo clusters
- Do you see photo clusters or photo thumbnails on the map?
- Open a cluster: is browsing and going back smooth? Any lag, misalignment, or taps not responding?
If you see no photos on the map, that’s still very useful feedback.
Please tell me whether you usually disable photo location, or your photos might not have location metadata.
If you’re willing, you can take one new photo with location enabled and revisit the map (optional).
2.3 Fly-to (“tap a chart, fly back to that moment”)
- Find the Active Energy chart (e.g., the bottom chart panel). Does switching Day/Week/Month/Year work?
- Tap a visible peak (or a “Jump to” button):
- Does it fly to the corresponding place/time?
- Do the relevant photos roughly match (logical consistency is enough)?
- Is the animation/feedback clear? Any “tap but nothing happens” moments?
If your Active Energy chart is empty, please tell me whether the empty state is clear (do you know what to do next?)
3) Showcase tab (Showcase): Flower check-ins (instant)
- On the Showcase tab (top floating flower entry), try a “check-in for this moment” (swipe → save).
- After saving, can you immediately find it in the Showcase? Does the path feel obvious?
B. Low effort, but important (Timeline: just let it run, check back later)
The Timeline needs real-life movement and stops, and some entries may appear later or self-correct over time.
So you don’t need to watch it constantly—just peek again when you have time.
4) Timeline tab (Timeline): Auto timeline (the most important feature)
4.1 Permissions & comfort
- What permissions does it ask for? Do you understand why?
- Do any of them make you uncomfortable or concerned? (Honest feelings welcome.)
4.2 Real-world scenario (any one time within 24 hours is enough) Try to include:
- One movement (walk / bus / subway / bike / car — anything)
- One stop ≥ 10 minutes (home / office / café / mall, etc.)
Then check the timeline at any of these times:
- After 30–90 minutes: do any stops/trips start to appear?
- After half a day / a day: is it more complete? Any “fill-in / self-correction” signs?
You only need to tell me:
- Is the result broadly reasonable?
- Any obvious missing or wrong segments?
- Does it appear “too late” in a way that affects usefulness?
5) (Optional) Timeline editing / filling gaps
If you have time to explore:
- Edit a trip (change travel mode / adjust time range) and save: does it apply? Does it mess up the timeline?
- Manually add a missing stop: does it feel smooth and easy to understand?
6) (Optional) Flower check-ins (linked to timeline entries)
Once you have timeline entries:
- Add a check-in for a specific “stop/trip” (via the timeline entry entry point).
- Can you find it later in Showcase? Is the connection clear?
7) (Optional) Privacy & export
- Can you find the export center (CSV / long image export)?
- Does “data stored locally and controlled by you” make you feel more confident?
C. If you hit a bug (thank you!)
No need to write a lot—this template is enough:
- Device + iOS + language
- Permissions you chose (Photos: all/selected/deny; Health: allow/deny; Location: while using/always/deny)
- Steps (roughly 1–2–3)
- What happened vs what you expected
- Screenshot/screen recording (if possible)
